MY 140 Kids!!!

Tribute to ...

This post is a dedication to my wonderful 140 kids I am so blessed to see every day!! I knew I would enjoy teaching and I knew I would care for my kids... but it has become overwhelmingly so much more than I ever dreamed possiable. I love every single one of them for who they are and what they give and share with me. I make it a goal to have an individual relationship with each one of them and that has made all the difference in the world. I want them to know how much they mean to me often and I tell them every Friday before they leave my class " I love you guys... have a great weekend." At first, I thought they would think it was weird their teacher said… I love you... But now they say…"we love you too Mrs. Casey." It is funny and I love it; we have a lot of fun... too much sometimes :) Teaching is so much more than it seems...I truly care for their souls. I really have seen more of my purpose here on this earth in the last 5 months. Teaching physical education is important to me and I want them to know how to live a healthy lifestyle physically, mentally, and emotionally, but I want them to know, how they choose to live their life is so important. They are here to find joy on this earth and I will do whatever I can to help them do that while they are with me. Kids have so many more barriers in life than I ever had. I want to be the perfect balance of firmness and understanding, of guidance and freedom, of mentor and friend. I absolutely love my 140 kids!!!!!.

Skiing weekend #3

We went skiing in Pindale with our friends Adam and Camille. Jill... Camille's sister... also joined us from Kemmerer... It was a lot of fun!!! It was snowing all day and it was the best powder skiing day ever!!!! We had lots of laughs and funny chair lift conversations:)

I put my ski pass on my zipper in the lodge. When I went to zip up my coat I noticed the great placement choice of the ski pass. It was right in the middle of my pants hanging there!! ...Even looking at the above two pictures will give you a better idea of how silly it looked:) AHHHH! LOL!! Camille said it was nice because she would just look for the red tag to find me since there were a lot of people with black on. Of course... Stevo teased me. I will have to remember to put the ski pass on another zipper next time:)

Can anyone say "cheezzzze"...better than Adam???!!! I think NOT!!!

I LOVE SNOW... snow is my favorite!!! You don't have to tell me twice to get out there and play in it!!!!!

Back in the day!!!

This was taken in Steve's house in Big Piney, WY. We were dating and Steve took me to Big Piney to show me where he grew up and to meet his family.

This picture is of us in Laramie when we were engaged to be married. We went to a basketball game together and back to Casper in the same day...I got to meet the rest of Steve's crazy family...jk!! I fit right in:)

This is a picture taken just weeks after we got married. We were in church and they wanted a pic for the bulletin board in the hallway with all the pics of the families in our ward. Look at my long hair... and I was actually tan... I can hardly remember having long hair although I did my whole life!! It has only been two years that I have had short hair :)

Hitting the slopes weekend #2

We went skiing in Pinedale again this weekend. I LOVE SNOW!! Especially when I get to play in it!! It was a very nice skiing day once again and I skied the whole day! I am getting better every time... although I am missing snowboarding. Next time, I will have to do that at least half day! Steve is the Mac daddy skier... I want to be like Stevo!!!

These pictures will not surprise anyone who knows me. I really did try to stay awake... I promise. I really tried to force my eyes open to stay awake and keep Steve company, but obviously Steve took this picture while he was driving... so my attempt was unsuccessful once again:) I cannot stay awake in vehicles... I really hope my kids inherit that from me :)

Later Saturday night, we went to Adam and Camille’s for dinner. Chef Adam made calzones and oh buddy were they good!! Thanks Adam... you’re the chef!!

This is how we marked whose was who's... hence the S for Steve. Adam told me to make sure to not put it upside down... an S can't be upside down Adam... you can't fool me...I'm too smart for you!!!

On Saturday, Stevo and I went skiing in Pinedale. The snow was the best it ever has been. It was awesome. We had a lot of fun together! It was the first time I got to use my new skis!! I took my snowboard too, but I actually skied all day! It was awesome!! I picked it up pretty fast and now I can get down the mountain at a pretty good click!! I have been snowboarding since 7th grade, but I want to be good at skiing too. I could keep up pretty good with Steve... by the end of the winter I better be a pro... just kidding :) I still need to work on the hills with the moguls :( That will come though… gotta keep working at it!

Brent Casey… we laughed going up the chair lift when we passed the big boulder you fell off of the other winter… too funny!! We love you!

Colorado fun continued...

Derek came to Colorado to join in on the fun too!! Tons of fun Derek... glad you came!!!

We played a lot of fun games... this one I made up! You have teams of two and they are given 5 random objects in a bucket and they have to make a story using all the objects at least once in their skit. Way too funny!!! It was late at night which added to the laughing...We had boys against girls. The girls had some good ones, but the boys were more witty this time :)

I am so thankful for my wonderful friends and family!! You make life way more worth it!!! Love all you guys!!!

Ruth's Birthday and New Years!!!

This is what Steve made me for my birthday... creative eh??!!

Steve made me coffee cake for my birthday!! Thanks Stevo... I loved it!! The swirly candles were great too!! We celebrated together a little early because he had to work and couldn't go to Colorado with me :(

I spent New Year’s Eve, which is also my birthday, in Colorado with the Bluemels!!! Chelsea made me this wonderful Mexican cake. She learned how to make it from a companion on her mission!! It was soooooo good Chelsea... THANKS!!!

We all went out dancing too!! Mike and Chelsea had some good moves!!!... but Trevor out did us all!!

Games...oh the games... can't have fun without some competitive card games!!!
