Mighty Hunters!!!

We went to Greybull this weekend to go hunting, see Brent and Lindsey, see my grandparents and family, and ride NINA (the newest addition to our family!!!!!

We got up early in the morning!! We were all ready and excited to go!!!! Check out our way cool hunting hats!!!

Look at these 3 STUDS!!!

Here are the day's action shots. There were three buck deer that run by at the same time and two were taken down.
Mike got a nice 3 point. My dad and brother got their deer. Steve didn't get his, but we still had 2 of 3 successful!!
This is the killer bee that almost took my life :( Just kidding, but it was huge!!!! It was as big as a quarter. This pic makes it look smaller than it really was. It was amazing!!! Steve saved my life and swatted it to the ground with his hat!! Yeah for having a brave husband!!

Here we were about to hike up the left side of the "W". We hiked 1 and 1/2 hours in. There is a creek that runs in the canyon. It disappears for a while so we have another sinks canyon in our Big Horn Mountains. It runs at the bottom and disappears half way through and reappears again closer to the top. Pretty Crazy!! We had fun exploring and glassing the other side for deer. There was also a gate we had to go around to get into the canyon. It was a very tiring hike, but totally worth it.

This is looking back at the "W" as we hiked up the canyon. It was beautiful in the canyon!!

These were some really neat rock formations in the canyon towards the top of the hike.

After the big hike, we got tierd on the drive to the next location. Sleepy Sleepy!!

We meet up with Brent and Lindsey and got to do a little hunting and visiting with them on Saturday. We got to see their place later on that night. It is looking ohhhh so good!
Boyz being Boyz!!!

My dad bought a horse from my friend in Green River. Nina is a 9 year old Peruvian horse. She is so sweet and we all fell in love with her. She is an excellent kid riding horse.

Doug and Erica's family came over to ride the Nina after church. It was fun to get to see and visit with them. We love you Doug and Erica!!!

I titled the post "mighty hunters" because that is my grandpa's saying. After we went hunting, we were quick to go and tell grandpa all about our day’s adventures and let him know the mighty hunters had returned successful!!!!! It was just not the same without grandpa. It was the first year he wasn't able to go hunting, but we defiantly kept him updated!

Later in the afternoon, on Sunday, we celebrated my grandpa's 85th birthday. HAPPY BIRTHDAY Grandpa!!!!
We love you!!

This is our friend Marsha. Her and my moms have been best friends since high school in Worland.

Bindy is her little dog. We had her and her husband Butch over for dinner on Sunday. We made French toast and it was sooo good! We used Texas Toast; it is the only way to go!!!

I gave Bindy horns with her little ear hairs sticking up.

First SNOW !!!! And it is STILL SNOWING!!!!

Friday morning it started snowing and it is still going strong. We tried to get out of our house this morning to go to Wal-Mart, but had difficulty opening the door. The leaves haven't even started falling off the trees yet. They have changed color, but not falling quite yet. There are a lot of branches in the street and in people’s yard. We heard a loud crack that woke us up last night. This morning we saw a big tree limb on the top of our neighbor’s trailer. Ahhhhh!!
Our volleyball game got cancelled in Powell this weekend so the girls were sad and some were crying because they couldn't play their last volleyball tournament of the year. They really like the bus trips. I agree that they are pretty fun. I have a great bunch of kids. I am having our end of the year volleyball party at Tony's pizza in town so they are looking forward to that. My next big challenge is getting all of their uniforms collected!!

And it is still snowing hard at 9pm on Saturday!!! IT HASN'T STOPPED! Our attempt at a snowman is already totally covered :(

SUNDAY MORNING: I took these pics through outdoor glass because we can't get out of our front door. We are going to have to do something or we won't make it to church. We are actually seriously stuck and can't get the door open. It is heavy wet snow to boot :) We are going to have to figure something out because we can't do this all winter every time it snows!! Since we shoveled yesterday we have about 10 more inches on our deck. AHHHH. It is Sunday morning and it is STILL SNOWING!!! I do love it though because the wind doesn't blow here. In Casper, you never see snow on top of railings or fences!! I can't wait to see the damage to the trees now. That is where the wind would help us; blow the snow off the trees so they aren't destroyed.

Our Jeep was completely hidden until Steve uncovered it.

Hiking to the Falls

Last weekend we hiked to the falls up Sinks Canyon and it took about an hour to get there. We had a lot of FUN getting out and being together. It was a very nice warm day!!

On our drive back we saw big horn sheep right next to the road. I could have petted them through the window if I was brave.

This weekend Steve went hunting with his family in Big Piney and they saw an albino moose. Steve says the picture doesn't show how white it really was. It was actually half albino.
