The Sander Cheeks...

Mike and I both got guitars for Christmas!! We made up a singing duo called the Sander Cheeks!! Mike is so talented and learns songs by ear or watching the bands perform on u-tube, but I am a little bit different learner. Anyways, we learned a song... you can preview our talent below. It will take lots of practice... but I am going to get so stinking good at this!! I love it!!!

We learned a song called Seasons by Good Charlotte. It has three chords( C, G, and A minor) so it was a good beginning song for me :) I am totally a beginner, but I learned this in an hour... check it out... I know it isn't professional yet, but everyone has to start somewhere!

Now just keep in mind when I am singing... that in real life a man sings this song... it is keyed a little low for me, but I did my best :)



This is our secret hand shake we made up when I was about 15 years old with our friend Trevor Bluemel!!




When Steve and I got married of course we initiated him and had him learn it. Whenever we get together we always have to start the fun off with the secret handshake!!!

Needless to say we had fun over our Christmas break at the parents!!

Christmas Morning!!!

After reading the Christmas story and opening gifts, we went to the nursing home to visit my grandpa! They had a wonderful private table set up just for our family for Christmas dinner!! They were so sweet to do that for us. It was a nice meal and we really enjoyed visiting.

Later that evening, we had Christmas supper at my parent's house and my sister and her family came!! Tons of fun!! ...And of course great food. Thanks mom for all your hard work... we loved it!!

FUN!! We played Guitar Hero and watched dances with wolves... Steve got a kick out of calling me "girl of many coats"... because he thinks I have a lot of coats... I really only have two coats :) Jackets and denim and kaki don't count Steve!! I only have two winter coats :)

Every year at Thanksgiving, the Casey's draw names to see who they have for Christmas. This year the theme was a gift that went along with a story about the person(s).Thanks Darren and Brenda... We loved the gift and the story!! Too Funny!!

I made sure to get Steve's favorite ice cream cake for the Rock Party too!! I just want to give a BIG shout out to all the Rock Stars for showing up to JAM!! It was awesome!!

Tacky Sweater Christmas Party!!

We decided to have a tacky sweater Christmas party this year. We had it at Adam and Camille's house. I totally think a big part of the fun was figuring out the night's attire!! We had some DANG good food and played games! It was a blast!

Adam and his "White Tundra... or White Sea" tacky sweater!!! It could stretch a mile. I am laughing out loud even typing this Adam!! Way toooo funny!

My sweater was too short length wise and in the sleeves...Obviously... but it had a ton of room in the mid section (totally made for a short busty woman)... so we helped myself fill the rest of it out :)
