Mike and I both got guitars for Christmas!! We made up a singing duo called the Sander Cheeks!! Mike is so talented and learns songs by ear or watching the bands perform on u-tube, but I am a little bit different learner. Anyways, we learned a song... you can preview our talent below. It will take lots of practice... but I am going to get so stinking good at this!! I love it!!!
We learned a song called Seasons by Good Charlotte. It has three chords( C, G, and A minor) so it was a good beginning song for me :) I am totally a beginner, but I learned this in an hour... check it out... I know it isn't professional yet, but everyone has to start somewhere!

Now just keep in mind when I am singing... that in real life a man sings this song... it is keyed a little low for me, but I did my best :)
This is our secret hand shake we made up when I was about 15 years old with our friend Trevor Bluemel!!
When Steve and I got married of course we initiated him and had him learn it. Whenever we get together we always have to start the fun off with the secret handshake!!!
Needless to say we had fun over our Christmas break at the parents!!

I'm am so stinking excited that you got a guitar. I know, I know, you are still learning, but I have visions of fireside singing at Shell. Love it! And you are doing really well already.
And thanks for sharing the secret handshake. Oh wait! Do we have to be initiated, too? Ooooo... I Trevor B going to be ticked you posted it? Just kidding. My favorite part is yelling, "Yes!" at the end.
That IS so awesome that you got a guitar for christmas! you will be a pro in no time. And cute clips especially the handshake. I also liked the Yes at the end, I especially like the completely different pitches of you and steve!
