Life of a Teacher

It has been a while, I know!! Sorry to those waiting for an update, I am just super busy. I go to work at 7 am and get home at 8:30 every night. Fridays I try to be home at 6:30-7 though. Anyways, my husband is the greatest and does the laundry and makes me dinner every night. Steve I love ya; thanks for all that you do.

I am teaching, coaching 7th grade volleyball, and finishing up 6 graduate credits so I can get my health endorsement finished up. My first unit I taught in PE was golf and now I am teaching volleyball. I am having a lot of fun, even though there have been many busy and stressful days, in the end it is worth it.

I can't wait until hunting season because then I will be done with volleyball. One more thing will be out of the way. I can't wait for the small break. Our team is in Jackson this weekend, then Green River/ Rock Springs, and then the following weekend (Oct.11th) we are in Powell. The girls are cute because this will be their first long bus ride and they keep asking what they can bring. "Can we bring our pillow and a blanket?" They are so cute. Volleyball is fun, but as we all know the parents can make it harder than it needs to be. The kids are great!

Labor Day Weekend

My little brother Mike came home from his mission and had his home coming talk this last Sunday. It was so much fun to see him and Steve and Mike just started where they left off!! They are soooo funny together!!!!

We went to Craig Despain's wedding reception and I ran into a good friend Brittney Fonnesbeck and her new baby boy:)

My nephew Chance and his sisters:) He just loves them and all their singing and dancing!

Just before the big TALK in church! I brought my friend Amber with us to Casper. She is the school psychologist for the district and is in our ward.

You can't forget about the Madden football on the play station. They played plenty of that; they should be good for a while.

Steve made sure to eat all of the watermelon and not let any go to waste. He loves watermelon. We had family home evening on Sunday, My brother gave the lesson and of course I was in charge of the activity. We had a lot of fun!!!!!!!!

We celebrated my brothers 21st birthday after family home evening with Funfetti cake and ice cream. It is his favorite :)

We had a lot of fun and enjoyed bringing Amber along to meet the family and hang out in Casper. My parents sold their house and it closes the end of September, so it was the last time I will ever be back to my house. My brother is helping my dad move the next couple of weeks, so they will be busy. My dad is glad Mike had such great timing :)

Billings/Greybull Trip

On Monday, I drove to Greybull to go to Billings with my aunt Candy and my grandparents. Candy was flying home to Georgia from the Billings airport and my grandpa had a doctor appointment. I went so I could drive home because my grandpa wouldn't be able to drive after his appointment. So I was the designated driver or the chauffer as my grandpa put it !!

We went to dinner at the Cracker Barrel in Billings. Very fun place to eat and I recommend it to any future Billings travelers.

We also went to Wal-Mart, of course, and helped my grandma find some things. My grandpa and I had fun taking pictures of grandma in her motorized scooter.

My grandpa had his appointment early Tues morning so we spent the night in the hotel and took my grandpa to the appointment the next morning. He got these wonderful sweats for the pet scan because he had too much metal on his clothes (belt, snaps on shirt, etc.) and was stylish all day. He said he looks like all the young people who never get dressed for the day :) We had to get a pic of that for the record books. I haven't seen my grandpa in any other clothes but cowboy clothes so this was a treat and we all had fun with it.

On Wednesday, I hung out with Erica all day and helped her with Cole's birthday party. We had a lot of fun shopping and getting it ready. Ren really liked to help and had his own sized shopping cart to boot!!

The boys had a lot of fun and Erica had very fun games planned. They played noodle hockey in the backyard with the sprinklers on. Then they moved to the front yard and played flag football with the sprinklers on. Then they launched water balloons and had a water balloon fight. Tons of fun!!! What a fun day!

Yesturday's Anniversary Events

Steve bought me flowers (orange is my favorite color in roses) and laid them in a trail throughout the house before he left for work, so I woke up to a trail of beautiful flowers.

We went out to dinner at the Hitching Rack and Steve got a steak and I ordered halibut. It was a very good meal and we had fun.
Here we are after our fun date!! Stevo is the greatest!!

More exploring

Earlier this week we went on a hike past Worthern Meadow Lake to this lake. Steve remembers hiking here as a kid to fish with his family. He said this was the exact rock he remembers fishing off of.

We followed another trail along the river which is also another great fishing place. It had a lot more mosquitoes though.
Now, this rock makes us laugh. It is the marker we look for so we know which road to turn on to get to my cousins house up Sinks Canyon. Too funny! Wonder what we call it?
