Cub Scouts

I help with cub scouts now and it has been fun. We do it as a stake so we have about 30 scouts. Last week we made tool boxes out of wood. This week we took them on a hike on the green belt by the river. We had a lot of fun running, throwing rocks into the river, and kicking ant hills. We also had fun getting into a water fight. It just isn't the same if the water doesn't get poured everywhere! We also had fun racing to see which group took the fastest road. There were a lot of dirt roads that connected back together, so I made a game out of it and the trick was to take the short cut and win. Then we played tag once we got back to the baseball fields. I had to make a rule that there had to be two people tagged in between tagging me because it was gang up on the leader! We had a lot of fun. I love 8 year old boys. They are so excited about everything and don’t leave anyone out at this age. They all have fun together and don’t have their little group of friends yet. They are all friends!

That sounds like fun. I've got to tell you I think that would be one of the callings I would be most nervous about I know nothing about scouting and little about boys. :)

I totally have this picture of you kicking an ant hill. Why is that? I bet they love having you as a cub scout leader!
